Is it time to refinish your hardwood flooring? If so, we're sure you have questions about the process.

Understanding how we refinish your floors can put your mind at ease in many ways. And it's always worth your time to learn more about the process we use to make your floors look new.

Frequently asked questions about hardwood refinishing

How long will it take to refinish my wood floors completely?
An average hardwood refinishing service can take between two and four days. But, of course, a lot depends on the products you choose.

Oil-based surfaces take longer to apply and dry. Water-based choices dry much faster.

Can I change the color of my hardwood flooring?
Yes, it's easy to change your stain color, which we strip off during the sanding part of the service. Then, you choose the new color, and we'll apply it.

What if some of my hardwood flooring is damaged?
We often see hardwood with water damage, blackening boards, or pet stains. When this happens, we explain your repair options, including board replacement.

How soon can I walk on my refinished floors?
After the final coat application, you'll need to wait at least 24 hours. But we recommend socks-only for the first 48 hours for the best results.
